Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young.
- Henry Ford
Someone rightly said once that there's no age of learning. We can start learning at any given point in time. Every day we learn something new. It depends on whether we want to take benefit from this learning or not.
Many of us think that it is easy to give a lecture to others but when it comes to implementing the same on themselves they do give up. But I would
have a different opinion on it. If I don't know one specific subject, I will never give any comment on it. I will always have a fear of getting embarrassed. This behavior will reflect in those people also who love to give a lecture to others but their personal life is screwed up.Once we get into a habit of learning new things, we build our interest in it. We start implementing the learning in our life and our life goes through a complete makeover. Always remember that "An empty mind is a devil" s den." Hence it is imperative to keep our minds busy in some activity. Keep it busy with learning new things. Use your brain as it's an amazing storage device.
I have seen many people around me who are in their 80's but still active. They are working on something on the other hand. I know about this person Mr. Banerjee who is staying alone as his wife passed away 5 years back. He is of 80 years. He gets a pension every month. He initially thought to stay with his son but then he didn't. He has his own home. He has a tenant. But he was still missing something. He thought of learning something. He opted to learn gardening. He studied, learned a lot about gardening. All required information related to gardening gave him very good exposure. He used that learning as a tool and started his small nursery. He started it on a small scale but now he has a huge nursery. People from the neighborhood take his advice related to gardening or does purchase his nursery. He grew up with his learning and gave a new direction to his life.
Unfortunately, we tend to learn the bad things quickly. We learn the shortcut methods quickly because we want to be successful quickly at any cost. Just think, if we are asked to go to war and fire a launcher, will we be able to do it? I will not for sure. Rather, I will injure myself. The reason is that I didn't learn how to operate a launcher.
Sometimes, we also take a back step thinking that what others will say? I would simply advise you to ignore others. People who will criticize you now will talk about your success tomorrow. They'll appraise you once you'll grow in life.
We all know the legendary Bollywood actor Shri. Amitabh Bachchan. He had a passion for acting. Like other actors, he also did a huge struggle. He was rejected from a radio channel because of his voice. People made fun of his voice. But he kept on learning and improving his skills and today people are a big fan of his voice and him.
Another example is our Missile man "Lt. Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam." He came from a poor family. He always used to learn things from others. This passion took him to that place that today he is idle for many. I would love to share one quote from him.
Learning gives creativity, creativity leads to thinking, thinking provides knowledge, and knowledge makes you great.
- Late. Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam
Let's go back to our childhood. Remember, when we first read the poem in front of our relatives and family friends. We got appreciation. It was a way moment for us. We were thrilled by this appreciation. We learned many new poems also.
So, my friends if you have the ambition to grow higher in your life, don't stop yourself from learning. Always be eager to learn new things. Try to use that learning in your life and you'll grow. If you fail, don't worry because it's just the preparation for your success. Keep doing it. I'm sure we all know about Thomas Edison. He failed numerous times but he kept learning and improved and finally, he invented the light bulb (in particular the incandescent light bulb). If he would have given up, he would have been another person in the crowd.
Learning can be done in many ways.
We can learn from our mothers (the homemaker) about management. They are the real managers who work 24/7 365 days a year. If she feels sick, our life cycle stops in some way.
We can learn from animals about being focus when they hunt for prey. They don't think about anything else. They focus on their goal.
We can learn from kids about creativity. They are very creative.
We can learn meditation as it will improve our health.
All this learning will help us to grow in our life. This life itself is great learning. We should not miss this lifetime opportunity. We should always learn.
So, are you ready to learn now? I'm sure you'll because you don't want to become looser. I know you want to win and go higher and higher.
Keep learning and keep growing in life.
All the best!

Moloy
