Smile - The magic creator!

People may give you strange looks and will develop the perception that if they see you smiling always. Different people, different minds, different thoughts lead to nothing. It's their perception, not yours.

Well, this topic may sound silly but believe

me, the examples I'll be sharing here will have meaningful insight into it and will make us believe that Smile creates magic!

Let's begin then. You've reached your office before time carrying a smile on your face. You greeted everyone whom you met on the way. You sat on your desk and switched on your desktop. Suddenly, your boss came to you with a serious face, and instead of saying hello, he/she straightaway loaded you with work and counted errors in your last reports. Imagine, how would your day go now? All positive mind frame, energy, the smile will go for a toss.

On the other hand, if your boss would have greeted you well and then would have called you later to share his/her feedback on the errors in a constructive way it would have been a different scenario. See the smile factor here.

I have come across such people in my life. During my previous job, I was given additional responsibility to handle a new account that already had team leads, team members, trainers, quality coaches. The process was running on autopilot mode. There was no senior to take care of. I was very happy and excited to take up this new assignment. I was introduced to this team by one of my colleagues. While I was interacting with them, I observed the fake smile on their face. Few were not happy as there would be a new guy sitting on top of their head while others had numerous issues. Time moved on.

I realized that the team was full of negativity, criticism, etc. No one was happy and was just doing their job for the heck of it. Even if I used to interact with them or greet them I used to feel that it's happening for the sake. So, I made up a strategy. Start the day with a greet to everyone asking about them. No work-related talks. No errors. Nothing. Also, during the team briefing, if the supervisor used to show dull or serious face, I used to point them out in a polite way to make the session interactive. Slowly and gradually there was a change in the work environment. People started being more interactive and it leads to a successful and wonderful team. All this happened, because of one factor i.e. Smile. I have never tried to be harsh with them. I always helped them, heard them, stood with them whenever they needed me.

Another interesting example most of us have experienced. We go to a shopping complex and pass by a food joint or a new showroom. We must have experienced that there will be a sales representative standing, welcoming us with a greeting to visit their shop for once. We go most of the time because the first impression we get from them is smiling face that creates the magic.

A smile doesn't mean that you will always smile. If you will do so, you will look crazy. People may start making fun of you. Always carry a smile on your face. Smile is a wonder medicine that enables few factors in you. These are:

  • Politeness
  • Energetic
  • Good listening power
  • Getting the magic to get the work done.

Try to co-relate it with any incident of your life and you'll get more insight into it. The smile comes automatically. It can't be fake. It's natural. If you start your day with a smile on your face the entire day will go well.

Smile stands for:

S - Simple

M - Method

I - Implemented for

L - Leading an

E - Extremely happy life.

There are many examples from our day-to-day life. Have you ever seen a video of a newborn baby on youtube or maybe you have just been blessed with a newborn baby? His/her smile will make your day. The tiredness of the entire day will go off the moment you'll see the smile of your baby. Why so, because it's real. Not fake. Remember, Smile - creates magic!

So, from here onwards make a habit of smiling because it creates magic!

All the best!

Regards,

Moloy
