Secrets of a True Leader - you must know.

In today's topic, I'll be sharing the secret of a true leader. I will be sharing few traits of a leader that makes him a true leader. The term leader itself says a person who has a dynamic quality of inspiring others and works towards the

achievement of the goal.

A leader is not born with powers. Then what makes him different than others? Why we follow him and would always love to be like him. Let's try to understand it with the help of a simple story.

Way back, there was a kid born in Rameswaram on 15th Oct'1931 into a Tamil Muslim family in Tamil Nadu. He came from a humble background. His father was a boat owner and his mother was a housewife. To support his father, he used to distribute newspapers after his school completion. He started to earn from his childhood. He was very for studying. He kept working hard for it. After his school, he became a graduate in physics in 1955 from Saint Joseph's College. After his graduation, he moved to Madras (now known as Chennai) for his further studies. No one knew that this small kid will grow so big with his dedication and leadership quality that one day he will become an inspiration for many.

He started his career as a scientist. He never deviated from his goal. He has always worked on basic principles. He, later on, got famous with the name "The Missile Man of India". Further in the year 2002, he was elected as the President of India. Yes, you got it right.

I'm talking about "Late. Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam" who made our nation proud in the world and to date people take inspiration from his life.

His main quality was that he never gave up and worked harder towards his goal. He never compromised with the situation. He sticks to his principles and kept on moving towards his destiny and finally got success.

A famous quote of him

A dream is not that which you see while sleeping, it is something that does not let you sleep.

- Late. Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam

Another leader, born in a Gujrati family moved to Yemen when he was just 16 years. He was new in that place. He started working as a clerk in A. Besse & Co. But he was very ambitious. He always thought big. After spending many years in Yemen, he came back to India and started his own company with a small amount of Rs. 15000/-. He was so passionate about the work that he worked hard to take his company to new heights. Slowly and gradually, he improved and opened his first textile mill at Naroda, near Ahmedabad, and launched the brand Vimal. Later on, he invested in petrochemicals and other sectors like telecommunications, Information Technology, Retail, Energy, Logistics, and Capital Markets.

Yes, my friends, I'm talking about Shri Dhirajlal Hirachand Ambani known as Dhirubhai Ambani the founder of Reliance Commercial Corporation.

He never wasted time thinking too much. He gave value to time and got rewarded for it. He had a clear vision in his mind. He was a risk-taker and always took the risk. He has a famous quote where he said,

You can learn the most from the risks you take.

- Dhirubhai Ambani

Another person, who is still full of energy and energy is an inspiration for many. Born in Mumbai on 28th December 1937. He was born into a rich family. Unfortunately, he had a disturbing childhood after his parents split. He was raised by his grandmother. He went to Cornell University to study architecture and structural engineering. Later he pursued a management course from Harvard University.

In the year 1962, he got a chance to work with the Tata Steel division in Jamshedpur, where he worked with the blue-collar employees shoveling stone and working with the furnaces. Later, he was appointed as the Director-in-charge of the National Radio & Electronics Company Limited (Nelco) in 1971 and was successful in turning Nelco around.

He is none other than Ratan Tata, who is a true leader. He was a quick decision-maker. One inspirational quote of his life is:

I don’t believe in taking the right decisions. I take decisions and then make them right.

- Ratan Tata

Now, let me tell you the secret of these great leaders which we all should know only if we want to become successful and want to become a leader for others.

  • Don't give up.
  • Follow principles of ethics.
  • Stop thinking too much.
  • Take risk.
  • Take decisions real quick.
  • Value the time.
  • Work towards your goal.

I wouldn't discuss them in detail because the above-mentioned points are self-explanatory.

Don't wait. Time is running faster than you.

Decide whether you want to be part of the crowd or want to take a lead?

All the best!
