Life is very precious. Live every bit of it.
This is a very common phrase that most motivational speakers, spiritual speakers say. Many of the famous personalities have also spoken about it. I have always read about these topics and found them very interesting but I always used to ask myself how would I
make my life happy? I used to watch comedy movies, I used to be happy always and so many techniques I've applied to ensure that I should not feel sad. But unable to maintain.I have heard lots of spiritual sessions where everyone says that give your life to God and then you'll see the miracle. This will start changing and you'll be able to live a happy life.
I became more spiritual. Going to the temple, worshiping, etc. became a part of my daily routine. I was still finding a gap somewhere. One day, I thought that let's sit alone and try to find out why I'm getting so many obstacles and why I am unable to live a happy life.
I got the answer myself. It was me who was the problem creator and started blaming others for bringing trouble into my life. Well, in today's article I would be covering one aspect that all of us ignore and which creates a huge problem in our lives, and no matter whatever methods we will try, we will come back to the beginning point of having a sad life.
Let's try to find out.
Have you ever seen an artist who draws beautiful paintings, a sculptor who makes amazing sculptures? Why they can do so?
An artist when draws, he gets a blank canvas. He brings all his imagination and puts them together on the canvas with the help of brushes and later on adds colors to it. He draws a beautiful painting. Why he was able to do so? The answer is that he lives that imagination and sees it by closing his eyes, with a smile on his face. Not only this, he is sure that whatever he has imagined, it would come out on the canvas.
On the other hand, a sculptor makes amazing sculptures with his imagination and puts everything into it and the sculptor looks like a real one. But why he is not happy? Why????
The answer to both the scenarios is: They were not able to do the same with their life, what they do while making a beautiful painting or sculptor.
My friends, Life is a canvas. Whatever we draw, what color we fill in will last forever. We are responsible for making our life happy or sad. We can't blame anyone.
Now, let's do a small exercise.
Step 1: Sit alone and close your eyes. Try to go to your childhood and try to recall the best moments and bad moments of your life. Try to recall the activities which used to make you happy and you always enjoyed doing that. Some of you may find studying, some of you may find playing, singing, cooking. There will be several such incidents.
Step 2: Now open your eyes and see yourself in front of a mirror. Are you doing the same work you used to enjoy doing in your childhood? You used to be carefree and now you are trapped with tension, stress, fear so many things. You used to be happy always and now you are not.
Step 3: Now divide all the factors. For example, Your personal life. You are not able to live a happy life because of few reasons. Just write them down on paper.
Step 4: Once you write down the factors with the issues, the next thing you need to do is think and write what would you do to fix it.
For example, your personal life is messed up. You found the reasons that you are not giving time to yourself. You're occupied with office work, meetings, calls, etc and because of it, you don't give time to your family. All you think is that "I am doing so much for them. I am taking hell lot of pain. But it seems that they don't value it. They don't love me anymore".
Is it true? The answer is No. You have drawn the canvas with negative colors and you didn't add the happy colors in it. As a result, you are messed up and now you blame others. Coming back to the point, so now you will write down the step to improve and add happy colors in your personal life by ensuring that you'll not engage yourself in office work throughout the day. You'll have to give a good time to your family. Good time doesn't mean 1 hour. It may be more than it. You may help your wife, mother in the kitchen during dinner. You may help your kids in finishing their homework. You may sit and talk to your father for some time. There are many such activities you can do.
You'll slowly see the change and your life will fill with positive colors and you'll be happy.
Now a person like me will ask that I've tried all such things, but yet there is something on the other hand. Here, I will share a live example of my father. He is 86 years of age. I lost my mother 2 years back. We are three in the family. I and my wife is working so we can't stay at home the entire day. My father stays alone at home. As a result, he has become short-tempered. If we will try to help him he will take it differently and then things will go for a toss. Earlier I used to stay mum, never used to respond to such things but then I realized that it may hurt his mind, his health too. So, I decided that I'll try to make him happy. He will be happy if I and my wife do something as per his guidance. We have tried doing it and we sometimes, give suggestions to him as an alternative option so that he can also give his inputs. Also, He is fond of gardening. So, I brought plants and ask the gardener to plant more plants in the balconies. He spends time there. He is fond of reading so I ensure that I get him his favorite books for reading.
This has shown a drastic change in him and I was able to add happy colors to our life.
Like I always say that these are tested and tried methods and believe me it works.
I assume that you will try these methods and you'll be able to live a happy life forever.
Remember,
"Life is a canvas. Whatever you draw will be there forever. Always fill it with positive and happy colors."
All the best!
Regards,
Moloy
