Decide whether you want to grow like a Mango or a Palm tree?

We often say to each other, "Don't show attitude." But what makes us think that the person has an attitude problem? Have we ever thought? We argue with our friends, family members, colleagues, but we never try to find the reason. We say that he

has an attitude problem. We may be right at times, but not always. 

Attitude is not only a word. It is a reflection of our character. If we have a positive attitude, we will never compromise in any situation & we will be a person of good character. On the other hand, If we have a negative attitude, we will compromise & will diminish our character.

It's my attitude, my action that will decide my character."Give respect and earn respect."

Let me ask you a question. Would you ever take help from a person who is helpful but has a bad character? He helps with bad intentions. The answer is No. This person may be rich and wealthy, but he stands nowhere when it comes to his character. 

Let me share a story of a Mango tree & a Palm tree. 

In a village, there was this mango tree & the palm tree. The owner used to give water to them every day. They grew up together. The palm tree grew up tall and straight. On the other hand, the mango tree grew up and started bending a little. It happened because it spread while growing up. One day, the palm tree said to the mango tree. Look at you. You don't have self-respect. You are growing up & bending. Look at me. I'm tall and straight. People look at me always. The mango tree replied to him that I believe in being polite. I am down to earth. I am spreading because it gives shadow to the people. I make sure that people get a cool breeze and relax when they sit under me. The Palm tree said that he doesn't believe in this. 

Time moved on. There was the season for fruits. The owner got occupied picking up mangoes from the mango tree. He didn't have time to look after the palm tree. More than a week passed. The mango tree was still giving fruits. On the other side, the palm tree started drying. One day the owner asked one of his laborers to pluck the fruits from the palm tree. After few days, autumn came. The palm tree was drying badly. But, The mango tree was still bushy. Villagers were still getting the benefits. One day palm tree saw few ladies plucked a few leaves and woods for some prayer at home. They reached near the palm tree and picked it dried leaves too. The palm tree said, "look at my attitude." I didn't bend for them. These ladies came and picked my dried bunch of leaves. The mango tree didn't say anything and smiled. The palm tree got the shock when he saw his bunch of leaves used as a broom to clean the home. On The leaves of the mango tree got a proper wash. The leaves are kept in a vessel carefully. After the prayer, the ladies took few rounds around the mango tree and worshiped it. The palm tree was expecting the same treatment. But it didn't happen. Now he realized that his negative attitude gave him this treatment. The mango tree has importance. That is why people worship him. 

This story gives a clear message, "Be Polite and humble always. It will portray your positive attitude and a good character." 

All the world's great leaders have lived like the mango tree. We respect them because of their polite and humble nature. They have been persons with a positive attitude and good character.

There is a gift for you.
