The Brain - An amazing storage device.

During our primary computer education, we've learned a term called "Garbage in Garbage out." This means that if we will put irrelevant data we'll get irrelevant output from the computer. Our brain is also a computer. Rather I would say it works faster than a computer. It can store too much data. If the brain wants, it can be a

creator or it can become a destructor.


Today, I will be discussing the importance of using it effectively. We'll be discussing some ancient methods that control our brain and make it work according to us. It's going to be a very interesting article today. Let's start it without any delay then. According to me, the full form of the Brain is

I think it's right. What we learn and store in our brain that's what we deliver. That' what reflects in our nature and behavior too. 


The brain is an amazing storage device that comes pre-installed in us from the day we opened our eyes in this world full of surprises. It doesn't require any boot. Always on to store things in it and there is no limit when it comes to storage capacity. But how many of us use it to the maximum? 


Many of us believe that we use only 10% of our brain. But the latest research shows that the brain is always active even when we are sleeping. See, what a tool we have with us. Recently, we've seen the biggest example in 2020. On one side, the Covid virus got spread across the globe and this virus was invented or made by using the brain. On the other side, the vaccine to target the impact of this virus was also invented by using the brain. 


What I'm trying to explain here is that we can use our brains for both good and bad things. It's you who decide how to use your brain? I still remember this funny incident. During my childhood when I used to learn my school work, I used to hear this often from my teachers. Use your brain. My Science teacher used to say, use some grey matter (due to the actual appearance of the human brain.) We used to struggle a lot for understanding the concepts, topics. Few of my batch mates were extraordinary. I was an average guy. I used to learn it slowly.  


Like all the five fingers are not of the same shape and size. The same theory applies here. Few are fast learners and few are slow learners. The main idea is to use your brain always. Keep it active and you'll see wonders. 


Let's take an example of a dog. An adorable pet. But have you ever seen that they have a strong reflex action? At their scheduled time, they will start moving to give you a hint that they are hungry now. They need to eat. They need to go out now. How come? All because of the amazing storage device that we all have. The activities are stored in his brain and this gives a trigger every day to the dog to ask for food or walk. 


On the other hand, a wild animal like a wolf will also use the brain, but in killing other animals for its survival. They also use brain to hunt the prey. So, everyone uses the brain in different ways. 


But what about us? How human being uses brain? If I talk about myself. I am writing these articles every day for you. I can use my brain to write these articles from the learning and memories I've stored in my brain for the last 40 years. The brain stores everything.

We store bad memories also but never let your bad memories overpower you. What you think will be delivered by you. That's why I always say it to my colleagues and students during a guest lecture that "Stop Thinking." Do it. Keep your brain active. Keep yourself busy.


Now the most critical part is how to control your brain? How can we refrain ourselves from the negative factor that will make our brain strong? Negative things are just like viruses that will spoil your storage device. Let's understand a few tried and tested techniques to fix this issue.


Please note that all these methods are tried, tested, and scientifically proven. It would not require any equipment. Let's understand them one by one. 


  • Do brain massage every day.
  • Increase your focal strength.
  • Start and end every day with positive thoughts.


Do brain massage every day. Every day make sure that you do meditate. The purest form is Yoga. Do it for 15 to 30 mins. Make it a mandate that you will do it without fail as it doesn't require you to go out from your home. You can start your day with this. 

I am sure that you will say No to it. But even if you are not ready for it, I'll give you another alternative. All of us have smartphones nowadays loaded with so many applications. Listen to a good spiritual audio every morning. Listen to your favorite romantic song. If yet you are unable to do it, then water plants in your garden. 


No excuses. You can do one out of these activities to start your day. 


Increase your focal strength. This is again a simple method that will help your brain to be in your control. You need to perform a very simple activity. We all have candles at home. Sit in a place where you won't have a disturbance. Light the candle and try to focus on its flame. Keep trying. Initially, you'll see the disturbance in the flame. But slowly it will be stable. During this time, just think about the flame. Nothing else. There would be many things coming to your mind. Ignore them and remain focused. You'll be able to see the different layers of color in the flame. 


Another technique is to close your eyes and think about the best moment of your life. Just think about that only. Try to visualize the incident in front of you. You'll always see other things coming into your mind but don't let them in. 


I don't say you'll be able to master it overnight but stay focused on your goal and you will do it for sure. 


Start and end every day with positive thoughts. Remember the word GIGO (Garbage in Garbage out). This is the same thing that we need to do every day. Start your day on a positive note. Greet yourself and everyone. I'm feeling great and I'll do better than yesterday. This is the first thing you say to yourself every day when you wake up.

You will see that you were full of energy throughout the day. It will give you a wonderful tool called Smile - The magic creator


Now, before going to bed close your eyes, take a deep breath, and thank God for being with you throughout the day and blessed you with a wonderful day. How much time does it take? Just 5 mins. I am sure that out of 24 hours where we spend hours on non-productive works also we can take out 5 mins to thank God. 


Believe me, friends, if you'll start following these 3 simple techniques you'll see the difference in you. You'll see the new version of yours. People will start telling you about the change. Who doesn't want to have a make-over?
